New Music Friday: August 16th, 2024
New day, new tunes, new playlist.
Happy new music Friday! Things have been very very busy over here so I wasn’t able to get a new post of music reviews out this week, but I should be able to next week. For now, here’s what I’ve found digging through the digital crates this morning.
Did not realize there was a new one coming from Pom Poko. Both of their previous records have been on my year-end lists (in 2019 and 2021). So I’m very excited to listen to that one.
Speaking of year-end lists, The Soundcarriers also have graced at least one (maybe two? can’t remember) of my lists - most recently in 2014. Another one I need to prioritize today.
The rest of today’s list is just a big stack of stuff I want to get to because they are either a) established names I already like or have liked (Horse Jumper of Love, Gel, Charly Bliss) or things that sound good to me on first test (OK Cowgirl, Slippers, Wishy, Combat, daarling, etc.)
