New Music Friday: February 21st, 2025
New day, new tunes, new playlist.
Happy new music Friday!
Here’s what I’m seeing in the bin that is catching my ear, with an attempt to organize by genre:
Indie rock, post-rock, emo-pop etc.
The second album from emo-pop act Anxious is out, and very solid stuff imo.
Baths are back with a new one.
Metal, hardcore etc.
Never been a huge fan of SPY, but I’ll be checking their latest EP out.
Scare from Quebec have a real sludgy hardcore sound that seems great.
Legacy thrash act Sacrifice have their first in years.
Electronic, instrumental hip-hop, etc.
Blockhead returns after releasing an LP last year with their latest EP of instro-hip-hop for you head nodders.
The Impérieux album sounds really intruiging to me - some varying genres of techno and electronic, some dnb influence in there maybe. Will definitely be trying it out in full.
