New Music Friday: July 12th, 2024
New day, new tunes, new playlist.
What’s up? Here’s my playlist of new music out today that caught my ear whilst digging through the releases. What are you stoked about? What is missing from my list?

My experience with Macseal so far is that I know I heard some songs off their earlier efforts, and they sounded like a number of other bands doing the midwestern emo with all the twinkly, tappy mathy overactive guitar riff stuff. Haven't followed their career at all otherwise, but it sounds like on the new album they've settled into a sunny emo-pop by way of power-pop sound (not overly dissimilar to something like Oso Oso.) Sounds promising to me.
Pack Rat is a Chain Whip side project that plays punk rock with that poppy garage rock skew to it and dual vocalists.
RIYL: The Marked Men, Radioactivity, and other Dirtnap Records acts.
The new Webbed Wing record sounds like grunge-y alt-rock emo with a bit of a dusty air to it.
Armlock brings to mind a "what if Pinback signed with Run for Cover Records" kind of sound.
